Canopy tour and rafting, two activities combined in a one-day tour just 45 minutes from San Jose

Fly through the rainforest’s treetops as well as get an adrenaline infusion on the rapids of the Rio Chirripó. This is the new experience offered by the Rain Forest Aerial Trams and Augas Bravas for local and international tourists.

Safety is another advantage on this tour. Both RFAT and Aguas Bravas are highly experienced in this matter, and they guarantee the safety of participants on both aspects of the tour.

The Perfect Place For Rafting

The experience starts on the Rio Chirripó, located in Guápiles de Limón. This river has a steep-sided canyon and pure water that comes from Braulio Carrillo National Park and Irazú Volcano.

High-Speed Adventure

After the rafting segment of the trip, a minibus will take travelers to the RFAT’s facilities. There, expert guides will give a safety talk so that visitors can have an adventure in the treetops. This circuit has 10 cables of between 200 and 300 meters each which together form over 1,300 meters of airborne fun.

Once the canopy tour is over, guests can recharge with lunch at the Aerial Tram’s restaurant.

What to bring and reservations

Bring a change of clothes, closed-toed shoes for water (like crocks), sunscreen, and a swimming suit.
