Budget Waterfalls and Swimming Hole near Dominical

For travelers looking for a local perspective, check out the waterfalls in Dominicalito. The water is cool and clean, the forest provides ample shade, and entrance is free. To get there, head south along the Costanera Highway out of Dominical. After about four kilometers, you’ll pass a soccer field on the left side, and then go over a small bridge. Take the next left, head through the village, ford the small stream, and veer to the right. Up ahead you’ll find a parking area on the left side of the road; the trail leading to the swimming hole is on the other side of the road. A taxi from Dominical will charge around 3,000 colones each way, and many taxi drivers will pick you up at an agreed upon time. There are no services nearby, so bring some water and a snack for a great picnic.
