This expansion project will begin with the construction of a new hotel in Escazú, Costa Rica, one of San Josí’s most exclusive areas. It will measure ten-thousand square meters in a six-story building with a basement, 163 rooms, restaurant, bar, gym, panoramic swimming pool and 800 square meters of meeting rooms. This will become the second hotel operated by Grupo Agrisal in Central America. Additionally, it will be a “Green Hotel” because of a water treatment plant, energy-efficient lighting, intelligent systems, and using natural light and ventilation.
El proyecto de expansión arranca con la edificación de un nuevo hotel en Escazú, Costa Rica, en una de las zonas más exclusivas de San Josí. Tendrá 10 mil metros cuadrados repartidos en un edificio de seis plantas y un sótano, 163 habitaciones, un restaurante, bar, gimnasio, una piscina panorámica y 800 metros cuadrados de salones para reuniones, y se convertirá en el segundo hotel de la marca operado por el Grupo Agrisal en la región centroamericana. Another big-name act is coming to Costa Rica. Depeche Mode will play at La Guácima in Alajuela on October 8th, according to the band’s website and this article from the San Jose daily La Nación. Tickets will go on sale starting June 15th at www.specialticket.net. Ticket prices range between 20,000 colons to 60,000 for VIP sections.

A group of 23 photography aficionados are opening an exhibit of 100 of their best photos tonight at 7 p.m. in the Galeria Nacional, in the Children’s Museum. The exhibit will showcase 70 of the club’s best pics from last year, as well as 30 favorite shots from throughout the club’s 20 year history. The exhibition will be open through the 4th of July. The Children’s Museum is located in downtown San Jose, on Calle 4, north of Avenida 9.
Un grupo de 23 aficionados de la fotograféa está inaugurando una exhibición de 100 de las mejores fotos del Fotoclub de Costa Rica esta noche, en la Galeréa Nacional del Museo de los Niños. La muestra tendrá 70 de las mejores fotos del año 2008, además de 30 de las mejores fotos de los 20 años que tiene el club. La exhibición estará abierta al público hasta el 4 de julio. El Museo de los Niños está ubicado en el centro de San Josí en la calle 4, al norte de la avenida 9.
